Welcome to Magee Original Artwork! I'm Jade Magee, Northern Irish Artist and Mama to a toddler! I studied Fine Art in Wales, however, my focus went to photography and my early career saw me travelling as far as India and the States as well as all over the UK photographing weddings, newborns, families and PR material for charities. Lockdown saw me pick up my paintbrushes again, discovering water mixable oils for the first time, and I haven't looked back! 

  I decided to work on improving my portraiture, delighting in the blending ability of the medium, creating realistic and thoughtful renditions of my subjects. The skills I sharpened in this initial stage have transferred beautifully to other subjects such as animal portraits, florals and landscapes and I'm really enjoying creating a varied body of work whilst still taking on Portrait commissions. 

  Community is hugely important to me and I love to connect with other artists! As well as being a member of the SAA and The Society of Painters in Water-Mixable Oils, I am looking to help develop support and encouragement for Artists in Mid Ulster.
